Fabio Aru does not rule out his return to cycling

Fabio Aru talked about his first year as an ex-racer: “It was a 2022 that was definitely different than usual in terms of planning. The human being then is made to complain whatever he does and so when I was a professional I thought I was always very busy between withdrawals and races but we are also so much supported by the teams and so you have to think only about training. Normal life on the other hand is made more of a frenzy in some aspects. When I was training I was busy in the morning, but I had the afternoon free; now it’s not like that anymore, but I’m happy.”

The Sardinian, interviewed in Oasport, did not rule out a return to the saddle: “I follow the races with pleasure, every now and then there are moments where I feel a little nostalgia. I was in Monte Carlo for BEKING Monaco and I was in the midst of all my former colleagues, so I relived the various moments a little bit: it was nice, I’m fine like that. Never say never though…(laughs, ed.).”
