Genoa working on an attacking comeback
Despite Coda’s likely stay, Genoa seeks reinforcements in attack
Massimo Coda’s stay at Genoa has seemed increasingly in question in recent weeks, but the striker, who has scored six goals in a Grifone shirt this early in the season, is expected to remain under the Lantern at least until the end of the season.
Despite this, the Rossoblù management would seem intent on finding offensive reinforcements to give to coach Alberto Gilardino to chase promotion to Serie A. The latest profile is that of a center forward who has already been owned by Genoa between 2016 and 2019, without, however, making his debut with the Genoa club’s jersey: he is the 1995-born Franco Ferrari.
The striker, who moved from Napoli to Vicenza in the summer, is leading the Serie C league’s scorers’ chart after the first part of the championship, having scored on 11 occasions. The Grifone would therefore be considering the return of the former Bari and Livorno player among others, who could finally find his debut in the Rossoblù.
