Sofia Goggia expected more: “Not great”
Despite the first chrono in the first downhill run Sofia Goggia sees ample room for improvement
Sofia Goggia hit the first time in the downhill test in Meribel, ahead of Saturday’s World Cup race, but she is not satisfied with what she did: “The time does not reflect the feelings, because in the upper part, full of bumps I was a bit abundant with some wrong lines. Also in the middle of the track not great,” are the words reported by FISI.
“It is clear that it is a track to be interpreted well, there has to be the right mix between intensity and tactics. Luckily there are two more runs before Saturday’s downhill, interspersed with the superg. I am calm, I will have a lot to study and visualize in these days, especially so many passages from the downhill,” explained the Bergamasque, who will participate in the SuperG on Wednesday.
