Virtus Bologna, Sergio Scariolo speaks out on Milos Teodosic
Scariolo commented on Teodosic’s performance, conditioned by the ailments suffered in recent days
It was a night to forget, for Virtus Bologna, on Thursday: Barcelona conquered the parquet of the Black Vu’s with a net 75-92, and the final -17 does not even perfectly tell the story of the game, which the Blaugrana won at the beginning of the last period by 37 points, before a decline in the ‘garbage time’.
Sergio Scariolo, in the press conference, spoke among other things about Milos Teodosic’s colorless performance, conditioned by the ailments suffered in recent days: ‘I saw him with two gears down,’ said the Brescia coach, ‘however, he had a high fever for a week and only on Monday did he get out of bed. He gave what he could but he was not even close to an acceptable condition.”
On the game: “I appreciated the effort in the last quarter, but my analysis must focus on the first half. We showed desire and will to not give up, but it is in the first half that we need to identify what we need to improve our efficiency on both ends of the court. Let’s learn and fight, think about the next game.”
