Musetti coach reveals reason for disappointing South American trip

Simone Tartarini’s words after the negative results in South America

Lorenzo Musetti’s coach indulged in an interview with Ubitennis in which he analyzed Lorenzo Musetti’s disappointing South American trip: “Undoubtedly a very negative trip, especially considering that we had arrived here with very high expectations. In the last days of training Lorenzo was playing very well and appeared to be in really good shape, both technically and physically.”

He then revealed the reason for this bad losing streak: “It just so happened that the first defeat ruined everything. Lorenzo took the blow because he just didn’t expect it. His attitude immediately changed, he became very negative toward himself, and this led him to stiffen up and freeze even from a physical point of view. In short, he began to see everything black and he could not react.”

“We are counting on closing this parenthesis quickly, which is part of a growth path anyway, and we are going to play the two Masters 1000s in the US. We hope to get back up soon!” concluded Tartarini.
