Statements on the sidelines of the last Super-G of the season.

Dominik Paris ended the Super-G season with a seventh place, a rather stingy year capable of giving only one podium finish, the second place in the Super-G-bis in Cortina last January 29.

“A little better than the last super-G, since I was out,” Paris told official Fisi channels after Thursday’s race, “but today the giants on the wall made so much difference and they have a lot of confidence.

“We have to work a lot in this sense,” concluded the 33-year-old Merano native, who in Super-G won world gold in Are and the Specialty Cup, both in 2019.

The men’s CdM alpine skiing season, dominated by Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt, has therefore closed its doors as far as the speed races are concerned: over the weekend, the giant slalom (Saturday) and the special slalom (Sunday) will be run, again on the Soldeu slopes.
