Marc Marquez wants to break the curse at Mugello
Marc Marquez hasn’t won a race since Oct. 24, 2021
Among the many cues given by the upcoming MotoGp weekend, that of the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, there is a particular one that concerns Marc Marquez: the Honda centaur, in fact, will arrive at the Gp at the Scarperia and San Piero circuit 595 days after his last success, achieved among other things precisely in Italy, albeit at Misano, on October 24, 2021 at the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna.
This is the longest period without success in the premier class for Marquez, which goes over the 581 days that elapsed between his success in Valencia on November 17, 2019, and his success at the Sachsenring on June 20, 2021. Both long periods of “drought” were weighed down by the physical problems that have gripped the number 93 in recent seasons.
At Mugello, Marquez does not start among the favorites and in general has taken few satisfactions (a victory in 125 in 2010, one in Moto2 the following year and one in MotoGp in 2014), but he has already stated on several occasions that he wants to fight for success and surprise Italian stables and teams, which will play “at home.”
