MotoGp, Casey Stoner puts Marc Marquez’s back to the wall
Former Honda and Ducati centaur Casey Stoner at the microphones of Speedweek sent a clear message to Marc Marquez, who is going through a strongly negative moment. The Catalan rider is the centaur who has fallen the most in this first part of the season, and has never finished a Sunday race.
“For me it all depends on Honda’s commitments to Marc Marquez and to what extent the brand is willing to make concessions for him. It’s hard to say what Honda will do for him.”
“So it’s up to Marc. Now he has to decide if he wants to continue to show his commitment and loyalty to Honda or if he wants to switch to another manufacturer. It is impossible for outsiders to know which is the right solution.”
Stoner believes Honda and Yamaha will soon be competitive again, thanks in part to the incoming concessions, “They always find their way back to the top in the end. The Japanese factories are not the only ones guilty of this situation, the Covid-19 pandemic has helped give the European manufacturers, particularly Ducati, an edge in terms of development.”
