Ducati, new role for Paolo Ciabatti: his heir already identified

Important change in Borgo Panigale’s cadres.

Ducati Corse towards a new sports director. Paolo Ciabatti will in fact abandon the role he held between 2013 and 2023 to take on an important new role for the Emilian manufacturer. Which però in the meantime has already identified the name of the person who will replace him in reference to MotoGP activities and beyond. It is Mauro Grassilli.

Already the marketing and sponsorship manager of Ducati Corse, Grassilli will become the Sports, Marketing and Communication Director of Ducati Corse from next season. His direct point of reference will thus be Gigi Dall'Igna, who of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer è General Manager. Regarding Ciabatti, however, he will be at the center of a new project of the company.

In fact, Ducati has decided to set up an Off-Road Division, which in the coming years will see participation in the MXGP World Championship and the AMA Supercross Championship. This program will be entrusted precisely to Ciabatti, who has been appointed precisely as Borgo Panigale's Off-Road General Manager. In his new task he will report directly to the CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, Claudio Domenicali.
