A heartfelt goodbye after the long-awaited farewell.

Bologna soccer market: Thiago Motta will leave the Rossoblù after leading them to historic qualification for next season’s Champions League. The official announcement had come from the club, but on Thursday the coach himself (who is increasingly close to landing at Juventus) wanted to say goodbye to the square with which he shared a year that has already entered the encyclopedia of the Felsinai.

"Thanks to Bologna, you have made me a proud and happy man – è the statement that Thiago Motta decided to make to the Ansa – In these two years, we have lived together a cycle of great growth for everyone, for me, for the boys and also for the club. I am proud to have taken Bologna to the Champions League without ever betraying our philosophy of play and the great passion of the fans who have pushed and motivated us at all times".

"I thank President Joey Saputo,” continued Motta. “I thank and embrace all my players who in these two seasons have adhered to our idea of soccer, committing themselves from day one. I thank all the people who work with daily dedication for this club. I thank Bologna and the people of Bologna becauseé they have made me a happy man".

Detail that detail not è: Thiago Motta è s contract expires on June 30 and therefore the coach who led Bologna to the Champions League è free to accept new challenges. And the Juventus option appears ever closer.
