Official: Alessandro Magro no longer è the coach of Germani Brescia
After recent rumors following the first meeting with club president Mauro Ferrari, Germani Brescia, through a note issued on its official channels, announced the farewell of Alessandro Magro after as many as three seasons. The parties have reached an agreement for the consensual termination of the professional relationship.
Pallacanestro Brescia and Coach Alessandro Magro have decided, by mutual agreement, that there are no longer the conditions to continue their relationship together in the 2024-2025 season. We thank Alessandro for his seriousness, self-sacrifice at work, and the results achieved" this is the note issued by the Lombard club.
After three seasons as assistant coach (2016-2019), the Castelfiorentino native took over the bench in May 2021 after two experiences abroad, first as an assistant to Luca Banchi at Lokomotiv Kuban, then as head coach in Poland with Dabrowa Gòrnicza. In 2021-22 he won the LBA Best Coach award, while in 2023 he guided Germani Brescia to the first trophy in its history with success in the Coppa Italia.
As for the Tuscan coach’s replacement, as one canò read on "Sportando", three would be the hottest names: Marco Ramondino, Nicola Brienza and Peppe Poeta.
