Berat Djimsiti throws down the gauntlet
The countdown is coming to an end: Saturday night there’è Italy-Albania. Among the most awaited protagonists is Berat Djimsiti, who spoke from his national team’s training camp and made things clear right away: "It won’t be; a challenge between me and Scamacca, but between two teams".
"Obviously, all three games are very important, but if we start on the right foot we will have extra motivation to move forward. A positive result against Italy could be an extra boost for the other matches" says the Atalantino.
"Gianluca I know him very well, since we played together for a whole season. We haven't spoken since we celebrated the Europa League victory, but it won't be a matter between me and him…" adds the defender.
"We have been following Italy's last matches and our coach has highlighted its strengths: we are well prepared and feel we are ready. Many of us were born or raised in other countries, but we are Albanian. In our homes we speak Albanian and we grew up with a love for our country. We are happy to represent our country" Djimsiti concludes.
