England in the semifinals

It's England s third Euro 2024 semifinalist, after Spain and France. Southgate’s national team beat Switzerland on penalty kicks in the quarterfinal in Dusseldorf after a 1-1 draw and now awaits the winner of Netherlands-Turkey.

After an emotionally stingy first half, Embolo unlocked the match on 75', deluding the Azzurri’s executioners in the round of 16, but Saka after just five laps of the clock brought everything back into balance, postponing any verdict to extra time.

The last thrill was provided by former Inter player Shaqiri with a corner kick that chipped the cross of the posts and was all decided by another lottery from the penalty spot, as already happened Friday night between France and Portugal, with the Lusitanians eventually eliminated.

From the eleven meters the only one to miss è was the first shooter, Akanji, hypnotized by Pickford: infallible instead the English, with Alexander-Arnold who converted the last penalty giving England another semifinal after the one three years ago.
