Jannik Sinner-Carlos Alcaraz, Rafa Nadal’s choice causes debate

During the press conference in Bastad, Rafa Nadal flipped through the diary of memories: "When I first came here, as a young man, I remember I was with friends like Juan Mónaco, Carlos Moyá, Zabaleta and we often played playstation, then maybe we also went to party. Now that I am 38, però, life changes a little bit' and you realize how beautiful this place is: when you get a little bit older you get more interested in other things".

Nadal then spoke about his compatriot Carlos Alcaraz: "My impression è that we are talking about a player who will be one of the best in the history of tennis. Carlitos has enormous potential: life canò change quickly and you never know what canò happen in the future, but if we were to predict today what will happen in his career, we would predict a stupendous future".

According to Nadal, Alcaraz è a step above Jannik Sinner: "Carlos starts favored in any tournament and on any surface. In the past, no player was the favorite at every tournament, while today Carlitos has this aura that can'be very helpful: I think he feels that, playing at his level, it's hard to beat him".

Rafa Nadal’s words have obviously sparked debate on social media: there are those who believe that Jannik Sinner is above everyone (as evidenced by the ATP rankings) and those who side with Carlos Alcaraz.
