Alice Volpi è born April 15, 1992 in Siena, to a father originally from the Tuscan city and a Brazilian mother from Rio de Janeiro. È 1.77 meters tall and 64 kg. È foil specialist and è trained by Stefano Cerioni, someone who knows a thing or two about Olympic gold medals. She competes for the Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Oro, her first club è was ul CUS Siena, her first tenico Daniele Giannini.
On the piste since age seven, she è always been considered an undisputed talent of world fencing but it took her some time to emerge, blocked also by a National Italian team full of outstanding athletes. She gradually managed to carve out a prominent role for herself in foil.
Her palmares canò count, among others. as many as five rainbow titles between individual trials (two in Wuxi in 2018 and Milan in 2023) and team competitions (three in Leipzig in 2017, Cairo in 2022 and Milan in 2023). An avid soccer fan and Fiorentina supporter, in her spare time she enjoys traveling, watching TV series, being outdoors with friends, cooking, and surfing.
In Tokyo 2020, her olympic debut, she won bronze in the team with her teammates and è fourth in the individual. That Olympics, after all the restrictions she went through with Covid, she lives it equally as a rebirth, and now she wants to be a protagonist in Paris 2024 as well, where she presents herself more mature and with many more titles in her trophy case.
