Torino, Davide Vagnati prepares three market shots
Davide Vagnati explains Torino’s market stretegy
After the confirmations of Adam Masina and Duvan Zapata and the arrivals of Saul Coco and Alberto Paleari, Torino’s summer market continues following the strategies that Davide Vagnati, head of the club’s technical area, agreed with the new coach Paolo Vanoli and explained during a press conference in Pinzolo, the site of the granata retreat.
In particular, to further strengthen the squad, there are three market shots on which Vagnati is working: "We know our needs well – he told reporters -, we are filling them gradually but we still need to intervene in the market. We need a defender suitable for the three-man line, a left outside player and also an offensive reinforcement".
The Granata executive, in any case, did not want to get out of line on any names: "When we are faced with an interesting opportunity, we will be able to seize it,” he said. “We have a list of names, it will be very important to have it as a reference when we intervene in the market".
In the season that is about to begin, Torino will see Paolo Vanoli on its bench, fresh from his brilliant experience at Venezia that ended with the lagooners’ promotion to A after the B playoff final against Cremonese. The former midfielder has also previously coached the Under-16, Under-18 and Under-19 national teams and Spartak Moscow, with whom he won the Russian Cup in 2022.
