Andrea Trinchieri looks beyond Olimpia and Virtus
The words of Andrea Trinchieri
Andrea Trinchieri, current coach of Zalgiris Kaunas, granted an interview to Messaggero Veneto to talk about his adventure in Lithuania but not only: "I expect one fundamental thing: to be able to build a team that plays together. Last year we came up short. We want to try to be competitive, which means winning the championship and doing our best in the Euroleague, placing in the top ten".
"Of’Italy I miss the friends and the championship. I miss them but not in the negative sense, I have no nostalgia and I am very happy here. The Euroleague? È a monstrous competition. Every year there are stronger teams, we will only run the race on ourselves. I prefer not to look at other rosters, I look at my own: I will try to come up with something new, creative».
Comment on the duopoly of Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna: "È likely to continue forò I also see Venezia very well, Trapani and Sassari very well, ditto Tortona. Below they have all strengthened, on paper it will beà one of the mostù competitive championships ever".
