Former Ducati centaur Andrea Dovizioso in an interview with GPone spoke about Marc Marquez, who from 2025 will be riding one of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer’s official team bikes, alongside Pecco Bagnaia. According to the rider from Forlì, Marquez had planned everything since the beginning of the year with the Gresini team.

"Marc è handled himself very well: some mistakes he made, but they were all in order to arrive ready for next year. He needed time to adapt to new situations, as well as the bike".

"Marquez è created for himself the situation he wanted, which is to return to win more World Championships, while Pecco will be further tested. Dovizioso experienced a similar situation when Ducati hired Jorge Lorenzo in 2017: "The situation may seem similar, but è different. Lorenzo è was taken becauseé there were people inside Ducati who did not believe in the riders they bet on to win. As for Marc, however, it is a simple preference, since they already have a champion in the house and the bike è already winning".
