Yacine Louati charges Powervolley Milan.
Fine 2024 definitely challenging for Powervolley Milan
Under the Christmas tree, the volleyball season calendar has brought Allianz Powervolley Milan a series of not easy engagements, on three different fronts: in the Champions League there's Tirol Innsbruck on Wednesday, 18; in the league there are challenges with Lube Civitanova on Sunday, 22, and Trentino Itas on Boxing Day, while on Dec. 29 the Roberto Piazza-coached lineup will be back on the court against Lube for the Italian Cup quarterfinals.
Powervolley’s French setter, Yacine Louati, says he is not afraid of these challenges that are as important as they are close to each other: "This end of 2024 presents a series of good matches to be played,” said the 1992-class volleyball player. Matches that are all important. On Wednesday we play for de facto Champions qualification or at least a good position to move forward".
"This is a time when we go on the field every three days,” added Louati, one of the protagonists of the double championship victory against Modena all'Immaculata and Taranto last Sunday. “Therefore, we will have to have the right head, a lot of concentration and lucidity to win everything we can".
After twelve league games played so far, Powervolley occupies the sixth position with 21 points, 11 less than the first place but as many more than the ninth position. In Champions, on the other hand, after three games è second with 6 points, behind Zawiercie (which has 8): a position at the moment that would be worth access to the playoffs.
