These are happy days for Gianmarco Tamberi: just a few days ago the Italian athlete, on stage in Sanremo, had announced that he will continue his career until the next Games in Los Angeles in 2028, sweeping away rumors of his alleged retirement. On Tuesday, Tamberi on social media made another announcement, even more joyful and important for his life: he will soon become a father.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion posted a video on Instagram immortalizing him with his wife Chiara Bontempi and showing the result of the ultrasound scan: the couple will soon have a child.

"An’indescribable emotion… To you, who are the mostù beautiful thing that could happen to us, we promise to give you all our love, every day, always", wrote in the caption the high jump champion.
