MotoGP: Pecco Bagnaia Steals the Show in Brno—His First Real Victory of the Season. Bezzecchi Crashes

Pecco Bagnaia returns to the top step of the podium for the first time since the 2025 Malaysian Sprint, and he does so in another short race: the Czech Republic Grand Prix at the Brno circuit. For the Piedmontese rider, it was a commanding victory, achieved by keeping a combative Ai Ogura—who started from pole position—at bay; Bagnaia overtook him early on and thwarted all of his attempts to retake the lead before the finish line.
The Ducati rider and the Aprilia Trackhouse rider finished ahead of Marc Marquez (another factory Ducati rider), who came in third. Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46) finished fourth, and Jorge Martin (Aprilia) fifth. Martin’s teammate, World Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi, crashed with two laps to go while running in fifth place. The rider from Romagna remains the leader of the World Championship standings, however.
Rounding out the points zone—reserved for the top nine finishers in Saturday’s short races—were Raúl Fernández on Aprilia Trackhouse, Enea Bastianini on KTM Tech3, Fermín Aldeguer on Ducati Gresini, and Brad Binder on KTM. Franco Morbidelli on a Ducati VR46 finished in twelfth place, while Luca Marini retired.
The Brno weekend will conclude on Sunday: the warm-up is scheduled for 9:40 a.m., the final session to fine-tune setups for the race, which will start at 2:00 p.m. The race is scheduled for 21 laps; the winner of the 2025 edition was Marc Marquez, who secured one of his eleven victories in last year’s MotoGP Sunday races in the Czech Republic.
