Rasir Bolton ready for a new gear shift

On the eve of the challenge between Vanoli Cremona and Napoli scheduled for Sunday, with the ball at 5 p.m. at the PalaRadi, one of the most representative players of the Campania club, Rasir Bolton, spoke to Radio CRC addressing not only the match topic but also the situation of the Neapolitan reality, still in the race for the playoffs with seven games still to play. A hope, that of the Neapolitan team, further fueled by the recent home success against Varese 104-75.
“Against Varese we played as a team and with heart, the new guys integrated very well right away, we have to do so until the end – said Bolton -. As for me, I claim that I have always played the same way, then with the new graft we are all improving accordingly. But I repeat: any game for me has the same value and intensity, at any level or age. Winning is not just about scoring points, I always play to the death and I want to be useful in every aspect.”
“I feel more like a guard who likes to take shots but I read the game and do what passes the fancy,” the 1999 class point guard added. Doyle? He proved himself in practice to be tough and it’s a pleasure to play with him. Of course we missed Mitrou-Long, since yesterday he has been in Naples and he went straight to the gym to train. The coexistence with Doyle? They are both experienced and intelligent players, it will be easy for them to find each other. Cremona? A good test with a talented and versatile team.”
Rasir Bolton is playing his first season in the Italian basketball league in Naples, after experiences in the previous two seasons, first in Belgium at Antwerp and then in Serbia at Spartak Subotica. The landing in Europe had come after he was not called to the NBA Draft in 2023, concluding his experience at the college level during which he had worn the undershirts of Penn State, Iowa and Gonzaga.
