Antonio Faravelli toasts in Brianza at the Banca Generali Trophy

Antonio Faravelli golf winemaker from Montù Beccaria in Oltrepò Pavese, owner of Cantine Vitea and promoter of the “Golf and Wine 1895” project, participated as a sponsor at the Banca Generali Trophy at the prestigious Golf Club Brianza. There was great appreciation for the project presented by the entrepreneur and for the award-winning wines of Cantine Vitea, especially the Bonarda Gallesio and the Spumanti produced from Pinot Noir grapes, wines that many years ago won over even the famous composer Giacomo Puccini, a family friend.
Faravelli’s presence at the Golf Club Brianza is part of an increasingly articulated promotional path. The goal of his project is clear: to revitalize golf in Italy while enhancing tourism, wine and food excellence and territories of origin. “Golf and Wine 1895” aims to become a real driving force for the promotion of Italy as a top sports and tourist destination, combining the passion for golf with the international fame of Italian wine.
“It is fundamental to grow golf in our nation,” Faravelli explained. “The more people who play the sport, the more the local economy, tourism and promotion of the area will be strengthened.” The project aims to transform the golf-wine combination into a real driver of territorial development, with an international brand built on quality and Italian identity.
Cantine Vitea, with more than a century of history, represents one of the most significant realities of Oltrepò Pavese. The awards obtained over the years testify to the quality of the productions: the winery has received the certificate from Vini Buoni d’Italia of the Italian Touring Club and has won international awards, including two gold medals in Asia and several medals from Decanter worldwide.
Faravelli’s commitment is not limited to the sporting world. The Golf and Wine 1895 project, born in 2008, has also opened up to cultural and artistic promotion, confirming a broader vocation for the enhancement of Made in Italy. “Sport, golf, tourism and promotion of territories through quality productions: this is the direction that many expect,” Faravelli said. “The Golf and Wine 1895 project was created precisely to connect these worlds and relaunch them with new energy.”
