Paris-Bercy, Novak Djokovic has no doubts about Holger Rune’s future
Djokovic seeks seventh title at Bercy
The final of the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 will face 35-year-old Djokovic and 19-year-old Dane Rune (also expected at the Next Gen ATP Finals, starting next Tuesday). The Serb seeks his seventh win at Bercy, the Dane his first Masters 1000 title.
“I can say I know him pretty well. We have trained together many times on different surfaces. He is a very nice guy with a great family behind him. He has a fantastic work ethic. I’ve followed him for the last three, four years: from Challenger tournaments to the Top 15 in the world. There is no doubt that he is the future of tennis, along with Alcaraz and other guys. I hope I can delay his first win in a Masters 1000 tournament. He reminds me a bit of myself, solid backhand and very good defense and just competitive,” the Serbian’s words to ATPTour.com
