Rush 5 Tour, new big hit Wilson

The new Wilson men’s tennis shoe, the Rush 5 Tour™ is having great success. Designed for the speed, physical intensity and relentless motion of modern tennis, the Rush 5 Tour offers explosive propulsion, uncompromising stability and professional-level durability. The revamped line has been validated by extensive testing with athletes and is worn on the court by Alex de Minaur, Karen Khachanov, Jiri Lehecka and more.

The Rush 5 Tour is Wilson’s most premium men’s tennis shoe, developed over two years through biomechanical analysis, advanced materials research and ongoing testing with athletes. Each element is designed to meet three key performance needs of the modern game: secure fit, explosive feel, and control at high speeds:

Based on the proven Rush last, the Rush 5 Tour maintains the fit players trust while perfecting containment for aggressive lateral movement. The EndoFit internal support system in the midfoot wraps the foot from the inside out, creating a secure, connected feel that reduces movement within the shoe and increases confidence during stops, changes of direction and high-speed pushes. The GammaWeave technical mesh upper adds structure where the foot needs it most, locking it in during side loads while remaining lightweight and breathable. This means support without bulk and grip without stiffness. Underfoot, a Pebax® midsole in the forefoot provides a lightweight, responsive response with efficient energy return.

Inspired by elite running shoes and reimagined for tennis, this technology cushions and returns energy while keeping players connected to the court. The result is a fast, controlled feel that remains consistent during long matches and high-intensity exchanges. Dual Axis Speed Carbon Frame, inspired by Wilson racquet engineering and developed using knowledge of Wilson’s FORTYFIVE° carbon technology. Designed to handle the torsional forces generated by aggressive lateral movement, the midfoot “yoke” design provides stability and control where it matters most. By reinforcing lateral movement and allowing natural forefoot flexion, the system supports powerful thrusts without restricting forward-backward movement. Designed to get noticed, the white, bay and bright coral palette is the first of the year, with additional launches planned for each Grand Slam tournament.

“Our goal with the Rush 5 Tour was simple but ambitious,” says Tate Kuerbis, Senior Director of Footwear Design at Wilson. “We wanted to create a shoe that supported explosive movement in every direction while maintaining the level of control that elite players expect. Tennis is faster and more physical than ever before, and footwear needs to keep up. That’s exactly what the Rush 5 Tour was designed for.”
