The words of Amelie Mauresmo
New life for Amelie Mauresmo, who has been appointed tournament director of Roland Garros.
“I am proud to join the team. I have accepted the role of tournament director, I will do it with the same pursuit of the utmost, freedom and enthusiasm that have always guided me,” said the former tennis player, the first woman for this role at the French Open.
Amelie Mauresmo, who won 25 tournaments in her career, including 3 Slams, before also serving as Andy Murray’s coach, takes over from Guy Forget who resigned in recent days: she signed a three-year contract.
