Andrada freaks out: how many days he faces after knockout punch. And the club terminates his contract

Esteban Andrada will pay very hard for the folly he was the protagonist of in the finale of the Spanish Segunda Division match between SD Huesca and Real Zaragoza. The visiting team’s goalkeeper lost his head in the dying minutes after a clash with Jorge Pulido.
The Argentine defender first shoved his opponent to the ground, getting himself expelled for double admonition, then completely lost control, attacking Pulido and delivering a violent punch to his face.
The episode sparked a giant brawl between players of the two teams, one of the most serious in recent years in Spanish soccer. Once calm was restored, referee Dámaso Arcediano Monescillo was called in by VAR to review two separate episodes. The first involved Tasende, who had kicked an opponent without the ball being in play: he, too, was sent off. The second featured the other goalkeeper, Dani Jiménez, who during the general confusion punched Andrada in the head in turn: red for him as well. In the end, Francho Serrano and Jorge Pulido himself remained between Huesca’s posts. An embarrassing and deplorable scene for Spanish soccer, destined to enter the “black history” of Aragonese derbies.
The sanction for Andrada will be very harsh: at least twelve matches of stop for the Argentine goalkeeper are speculated. A very similar precedent goes back several years, when goalkeeper Germán “Mono” Burgos, then at Mallorca, punched Óscar Serrano of Espanyol: also in that case came a 12-match sanction.
Andrada, who arrived at Zaragoza on loan from Monterrey, will end his experience in Spain in a very bitter way: his club seems to be leaning toward terminating the player’s loan, who will return to Mexico.
