Andrea Trinchieri begins shopping in Italy

Andrea Trinchieri, who will be at the helm of Paok Thessaloniki next season, is also starting to shop in Italy. It now seems to be in the home stretch the negotiation set up by the Bianconeri club to put Naz Mitrou-Long under contract, who in Greece will try to redeem himself after a decidedly less than expected year at Guerri Napoli.
The Canadian-born 1993 class, who also played for Brescia and Milan in Italy, had been hired to go along with coach Alessandro Magro, who was later exonerated in the ongoing championship when the salvation of the Neapolitan lineup became at risk.
The Paok announced the agreement with Trinchieri at the beginning of March, specifying that the Milanese coach will take over the team’s technical leadership starting from the 2026-2027 season and for the next three years. This is an absolute coup for the Thessaloniki-based club, which has already involved Trinchieri in the strategic planning of the new course as a consultant, a testament to the great ambitions of Greek basketball.
Mitrou-Long averaged 13.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in the LBA with Napoli.
