Sofia Goggia reveals where'she was

Sofia Goggia had promised: “I will completely disconnect, I want to take a month and a half to live my life, unlike last year when I had also worked in the spring.” The Italian skier is enjoying her vacation to recharge her batteries and get back into the spotlight next season, when she aims to return dominant in her favorite specialty, downhill.
The champion from Bergamo on her Instagram profile posted photos from her vacation-adventure in the Philippines. Lots of pictures in a bikini on the beach or on the boat, or in remote backpacking villages, or even in a canoe in beautiful bays.
“Super distinctive crystal clear green sea,” Sofia wrote, “rice and fish at every meal, incredible places, going on a trip with adventures around the world knowing that you will share it with people you don’t know, people who leave with “the Goggia” but then come back having met Sofia, excursions every day, somewhat rustic little hotels where you sometimes wonder who made you do it, but then the beauty of getting out a little bit of the same things by doing different ones – always in simplicity – stretching your ear and turning it to listening to other people’s lives, which is something I love to do, being able to laugh until I tear up .. thank you guys , you made me have a lot, a lot of fun.”
In April Sofia also celebrated her graduation in Political Science at Luis, with a thesis on soft power in the history of the Games.
A milestone that Goggia herself recounted with great transport at April’s FISI Media Day: “I was really excited at the time of discussing my three-year thesis. It was a beautiful path, which I decided to undertake in parallel with my sporting activity even during the Olympic year: I did it because I felt the need to explore something that went beyond the boundaries of this beautiful and totalizing profession, to which I have dedicated my whole life.” The thesis, structured in three parts, traced the historical evolution of the Olympic Games by analyzing the concepts of propaganda and soft power, with a focus on particular editions such as Berlin 1936, to a conclusion dedicated to Milan Cortina 2026.
