Savino Del Bene Volleyball has officially announced that Ekaterina Antropova will not be part of the roster next season. Opposite of international caliber and symbolic face of the club, Antropova concludes her path with Savino Del Bene Volley after five seasons, the longest and most representative chapter of her career.

Who arrived in Scandicci in the summer of 2021 at just eighteen years of age, Kate says goodbye to the club at the end of a path of constant growth that has led her, season after season, to establish herself among the best opposing players on the world stage. Hers has been an extraordinary path, marked by a continuous evolution: from a young promise to an absolute protagonist of Italian and European volleyball. In five seasons, Antropova has built an increasingly solid technical and character leadership, becoming an indispensable reference for the team.

With the Savino Del Bene Volley jersey, she has left a deep mark in the club’s history, contributing to the conquest of three trophies: the 2021/2022 Challenge Cup, the 2022/2023 CEV Cup and the historic 2025 World Cup for Club. Successes that accompanied and certified the club’s growth to the highest levels of international volleyball.

The 2025/2026 season represented yet another confirmation of its absolute value. In the A1 Series she finished as the second best scorer in the league, first in the league in aces and best player in winning walls in the regular season. On the international stage, Antropova also reaffirmed her status of absolute excellence: at the Club World Championships she was the best scorer and best serving player, while in the CEV Champions League she finished as the competition’s top scorer with 6.54 points per set, also being the tournament’s best hitter.
