Pistoia Basket, Franco Ciani speaks out on the market and warns competitors

Officially presented on Tuesday as the new coach of Pistoia Basket, Franco Ciani has clear ideas on the goals to be pursued in the next season at the helm of the red-and-whites, after a year lived by the latter on a roller coaster in A2, which ended with the not-so-slightly suffered permanence in the category, certified by the victory in game-5 of the playout with Ruvo di Puglia.

“We have a long journey to make together and it is important to start it with enthusiasm and the right energy – said Ciani during the official presentation -. For all of us there is a lot of desire to start again and return to an important level, and I personally come here with the utmost determination. I know what kind of enthusiasm and participation there is in the environment when things are done with participation and commitment: something we will try to build with daily work.”

With the position of head coach settled, the club can now turn to building the roster for the 2026-2027 season: “There are situations that we are evaluating with interest,” Ciani explained.
