Andrea Bocelli warns everyone about Jannik Sinner after Paris knockout

World-renowned singer Andrea Bocelli in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport spoke about Jannik Sinner: the Italian tenor and the tennis number one have collaborated together on several initiatives in the past and know each other very well. “We are bound by a sincere friendship,” Bocelli explained. “Jannik is a young friend whom I deeply admire, and we also shared a musical project, ‘Dust and Glory,’ born precisely out of the pleasure of doing something together. When we find time to say goodbye it is always a joy.”
Bocelli explained what strikes him most about the Blue: “What I like most about him is his composure. What strikes me in such a young boy is the calmness with which he faces the greatest pressures and the humility with which he continues to improve. These are qualities that, in sports as in life, count as much as talent.”
Sinner lost in the second round at Roland Garros after being ill during his match with Juan Manuel Cerundolo, and he will try to redeem himself by winning at Wimbledon. Bocelli puts his hand on the fire and warns everyone, “In Paris it didn’t go well, and I’m sorry, but on grass he will soon have a chance to make up for it, I’m sure.”
The Italian singer also applauded another young man who is coming into his own, Andrea Kimi Antonelli: “I follow him with sympathy. The fact that he excels, at the age of nineteen, in the World Championship is a source of pride for all of us and confirms that Italy still knows how to produce excellence. I wish him to keep his feet on the ground, because that is where champions build the longest careers.”
