Jannik Sinner: Video with Holger Rune Goes Viral. The Italian Heads to England

Jannik Sinner’s final hours in Monte Carlo: the Italian, who resumed training just under a week ago, is continuing his preparation and faced Holger Rune in a practice match on Monday. The Danish player is still recovering from a serious Achilles tendon injury and hopes to be back in time for the Wimbledon tournament.
Compared to the past, the relationship between Sinner and Rune has definitely improved, and the two have often faced off in practice sessions. In 2025, Rune was among the players the Italian faced during his months-long suspension over the Clostebol case.
The video of the training session has made the rounds on social media and gone viral, sparking enthusiasm among fans and tennis enthusiasts, who on one hand are awaiting the world No. 1’s redemption following his disappointing performance at Roland Garros, and on the other, are looking forward to Rune’s return, who until a few years ago was considered a potential top-tier player alongside Carlos Alcaraz and the champion from Sesto Pusteria.
Sinner will also train in Monte Carlo on Tuesday, then he and his coaching staff will head to London: the Italian will thus arrive in England nearly two weeks before the start of Wimbledon. The plan is to get used to the grass courts and the London climate as soon as possible to best prepare for defending the title he won in 2025.
