2026 World Cup: Canada vs. Morocco, Probable Lineups

Canada and Morocco will take the field at 7 p.m. (Italian time) in Houston for the first round of 16 match of the 2026 World Cup in North America. The Canadians, playing their second away game in the tournament co-hosted by the United States and Mexico, narrowly defeated South Africa in the round of 16 after finishing second in their group. Morocco also finished second in its group behind Brazil, while in the round of 16 they eliminated the Netherlands in a penalty shootout. The winner will face either France or Paraguay in the quarterfinals.
The Canucks have already made history by reaching the World Cup knockout stage for the first time, but now they’ve gotten a taste for it and want to continue on this path. The attacking duo will consist of David and Oluwaseyi, with Buchanan and Millar on the wings. In midfield, Eustaquio will partner with Saliba.
The Atlas Lions, who reached the semifinals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, have confirmed their incredible progress and are the favorites to advance. In Houston, they’ll field the same starting eleven that eliminated the Oranje, with Saibari as the center forward and Brahim Diaz, Ounahi, and El Khannouss behind him. The fullbacks will be Hakimi and Mazraoui.
