Norway shines in the fourth stage of the Tour de France: Mads Pedersen was the fastest at the finish in Foix, winning the sprint ahead of Quinn Simmons and Raul Garcia Pierna.

His compatriot Torstein Traeen, meanwhile, managed to claim the yellow jersey after crossing the finish line alongside the breakaway group with a lead of over 13 minutes over the main peloton.

Traeen thus snatched the yellow jersey from the Slovenian and defending champion Tadej Pogačar, who is now nearly 8 minutes behind the overall leader, tied with his Danish rival Jonas Vingegaard.

Italian rider Marco Frigo also stood out in the Carcassonne-Foix stage, managing to join the winning breakaway and securing an excellent fourth-place finish. The fifth stage, a 158-km route from Lannemezan to Pau suited for sprinters, is scheduled for Wednesday.
