A new special to celebrate history on Sky and streaming on NOW. Twenty years after that historic night in Berlin, Sky Sport celebrates the Azzurri’s triumph at the 2006 World Cup in Germany with a special program dedicated to the event. Tomorrow, Thursday, July 9, Sky Sport Calcio will rebroadcast the entire schedule from twenty years ago: from the first morning updates through the post-game celebrations, featuring interviews with the stars.

A long journey down memory lane, which began in recent weeks, will use dedicated “best of” segments (airing in the morning on Sky Sport 24 as well) to bring back, with emotion and nostalgia, one of the most thrilling chapters in Italian sports and in Sky’s history.

We’ll also be going back 20 years on Friday, July 10, with a replay of the celebration at the Circo Massimo starting at 7:30 p.m., again on Sky Sport Calcio.

The anniversary celebration is further enriched by the new episode of “L’Uomo della Domenica – Discorso su due piedi,” an original production by Sky Sport. In the new episode, “Marcello Lippi – Mare Dentro,” Giorgio Porrà profiles the head coach of Italy’s last World Cup team, the protagonist of one of the brightest chapters in our sporting history. From the 2006 triumph to the lessons of teamwork, the episode explores memories, leadership, and a philosophy of soccer forged both on and off the field.

A coach who won “more through teamwork than through tactics,” capable of uniting locker rooms and forging a shared identity. A man true to himself, to his roots, and to a vision of soccer in which the human element remains decisive. The new episode will air tomorrow at 7:15 p.m. on Sky Sport Uno and will be rebroadcast on Friday, July 10, on Sky Sport Uno, Sky Sport Calcio, and Sky Sport Legend (also available on demand).
