Pisa Transfer Market: Another Striker Joins the Team in the Push for Promotion to Serie A
To please its new coach, Paolo Bianco, Pisa has not only taken Stefano Moreo off the market—Palermo, the team for which he had already played during the 2018–19 season, had shown strong interest in the 1993-born player —but has also set out to find another striker capable of scoring goals for the team. It’s not just Filippo Pittarello who’s on their radar: names like Andrea Adorante, Fabio Abiuso, and Gabriele Artistico are being mentioned right now, and one of them could soon be wearing the Nerazzurri jersey. The stated goal is a return to Serie A under a coach who pulled off that feat with Monza last year.
Among the players being monitored most closely is Filippo Pittarello, a Catanzaro center forward who came close to promotion to Serie A with the Giallorossi last season, only to be stopped by Bianco’s Monza in the playoff final. The Nerazzurri have already secured the player’s willingness to transfer, but negotiations with Catanzaro remain complex: the Calabrian club highly values its striker and continues to demand a substantial fee to let him go. Despite the gap between asking price and offer, Pisa has no intention of giving up on the deal, and talks between the two clubs will continue in the coming days.
As for deals already at a more advanced stage, the Tuscan club is ready to finalize a loan deal with Napoli for young Emanuele Rao. Born in 2006, he is capable of playing any position on the offensive line, though he prefers the left wing. Rao joined Napoli’s youth system in the summer of 2025 following SPAL’s bankruptcy, and was subsequently loaned to Bari, where he was one of the few bright spots in a bitter season for the Apulian side, which was relegated to Serie C.
As for Adorante, one of the names linked to Pisa in recent hours, the forward played last season in Serie B with Venezia, establishing himself as one of the key players in the Venetian attack. His versatility and ability to create danger in the box make him an attractive prospect for a club like Pisa, which is aiming to build a high-quality offensive unit for its immediate return to the top flight.
The Nerazzurri management is therefore working on multiple fronts simultaneously, aware that Bianco will need various options up front to best navigate the challenges of an increasingly competitive Serie B league. Meanwhile, the sale of Durosinmi to Genk for 10.5 million euros plus bonuses has provided the club with the financial resources needed to operate with a certain degree of freedom in the transfer market, making Pisa one of the most active players in this summer transfer window.
