Como Transfer Market: Buyers Sought for Alvaro Morata—It’s Not Just the MLS

Como isn’t just focused on strengthening its roster. It also needs to make some trades to avoid ending up with a budget imbalance. Among the possible departures is Álvaro Morata. The Spaniard, partly due to various physical issues, hasn’t made the impact he would have liked while wearing the Como jersey.
Born in 1992, he scored just one goal in 30 appearances last year. Coach Cesc Fabregas has great respect for the former striker—who has played for Juventus and Milan, among others—but is looking for a different type of player for the attack. Furthermore, the Spaniard commands a hefty salary (eight million euros gross).
Finding a solution won’t be easy. There’s talk of a move to MLS, but it remains to be seen whether Álvaro Morata will be willing to move to a different country again. This is also because he has a contract with Como that runs through June 2029.
There are also rumors of interest from Atalanta. Bergamo is very close to Como, so it could be an interesting option for the Spaniard. For now, there’s nothing more than a few transfer rumors, but all things considered, it could be a perfect solution for everyone.
