Milan Transfer Market: More Than Half the Team Is Up for Sale, and Leao Is Definitely Undecided

Amorim has his work cut out for him ahead of Milan’s league opener against Torino. In addition to shaping the new team according to his footballing philosophy, he also has to deal with the many surplus players who are still on the roster.

The list is very long and definitely challenging: Athekame, Musah, Ricci, Gimenez, Estupinan, Lotfus-Cheek, Fofana, and Tomori are certainly not untouchable—quite the opposite. Should any offers come in, the Rossoneri would be more than happy to let them go.

The problem is that finding them new homes will certainly not be a walk in the park. Many of them command high salaries, and as a result, finding clubs willing to meet their demands is anything but a simple task. At the moment, only Tomori reportedly has offers on the table, partly because his contract with the Rossoneri expires at the end of next season.

Amid all this, there’s also deal with the Leao situation. As of now, it is still unclear whether the Portuguese player, born in 1999, will continue his journey with the Rossoneri. Amorim would like to keep him, but nothing has been decided yet. For now, however, Galatasaray’s offer falls short of Milan’s expectations.
