Juventus Transfer Market: Vlahovic, Deal in Jeopardy After Outrageous Demand

Dusan Vlahovic remains without a team more than a month before his contract with Juventus expires. The Serbian striker is looking for a club after parting ways with the Bianconeri, but with the season set to begin in nearly all European countries in just a few days, he has yet to find a new home.

So far, only Besiktas has made a concrete move for Vlahovic, while Premier League clubs have only made tentative inquiries without making a serious bid. According to reports in *La Stampa*, the hesitation among suitors stems not so much from doubts about his current physical condition as from the exorbitant demands made by the player’s agents regarding his salary.

According to rumors, Vlahovic’s agents have asked European clubs for 15 million euros in commissions alone to close the deal—a figure that has deterred several clubs. The demand made to Al-Ahli, the Saudi club that had shown interest in him, was even higher: 25 million euros in commissions, in addition to the player’s salary.

Vlahovic is reportedly focusing primarily on La Liga, where he is awaiting contact from Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, but there is no news at the moment. A return to Juventus, however, is practically impossible, as the club no longer intends to raise the contract offer it made months ago.

Beşiktaş president Serdal Adali went public in an interview with the newspaper Fanatik, confirming direct contact with the player: “We are working on it and talking with Vlahovic.” A key factor in the negotiations is the presence on the bench of Vincenzo Italiano, the coach who, during his time at Fiorentina, transformed Vlahovic into one of Serie A’s most prolific strikers, launching him onto the big European stages. The Turkish club had put an offer on the table consisting of a 5 million signing bonus and 8 million net per season for two years, which was rejected by the player’s representatives.
