Romelu Lukaku’s transfer to Fenerbahçe gives Napoli greater flexibility in the transfer market. At the top of the list to bolster the attack remains Gabriel Jesus, who is under contract with Arsenal through 2027 and has a market value of less than 20 million euros. The Brazilian stands out for his versatility, speed, and ability to play multiple roles in the attack, operating both as a center forward and a second striker while actively participating in the team’s build-up.

Before moving forward with Gabriel Jesus, however, Napoli must clarify Lorenzo Lucca’s future. The forward is coming off a decidedly poor season, spent between Italy and England, and his future with Napoli is far from certain. Lazio is monitoring him with interest, and a loan move is among the possible options for his departure.

As for Gabriel Jesus, the player—represented in Italy by Branchini, the same agent as Massimiliano Allegri—has reportedly already expressed his interest in a move to Naples. The center forward, born in 1997, has no intention of renewing his contract with the Gunners and wants a permanent transfer away from the London club, categorically ruling out a loan deal. In recent weeks, he has received offers from Qatar and Saudi Arabia, but his priority is to continue his career at a club competing in the Champions League—a requirement that Napoli fully meets.

Further evidence of Arsenal’s willingness to let Jesus go comes from within the Gunners’ ranks: in addition to the Brazilian, Gabriel Martinelli is also set to leave Arteta’s squad, having caught the eye of Gasperini’s Roma. The arrival of new signing Tzolis has reduced playing time for both players, pushing the London club toward immediate solutions to avoid losing its assets on a free transfer in 2027. This situation could work in Napoli’s favor in negotiations, with Arsenal potentially more willing to reach a quick agreement.

The main sticking point in the Jesus deal, however, remains his salary. The Brazilian currently earns approximately 15 million euros gross per season, a figure that represents a significant hurdle for Napoli’s finances. The deal can only go through if the player significantly scales back his financial demands and agrees to terms different from his current ones in order to wear the Azzurri jersey.
