F1, Charles Leclerc doesn’t mince words on Ferrari’s 2022
Charles Leclerc outspoken about Ferrari’s 2022
The 2022 World Championship ended with a second-place finish in Abu Dhabi, allowing him to place behind Max Verstappen in the F1 World Championship standings as well, but Charles Leclerc, speaking candidly in the post-race interview, admitted that at one point in the season he expected more.
“I hope that this 2022 was a last year of transition,” the Monegasque told ‘Sky Sport,’ “I want to win next year, I hope to do it. It must be admitted that this season, second place in the drivers’ and constructors’ world championships was the best possible result.”
“After Melbourne we had other convictions,” Leclerc went on to explain. “After the first three to four races the pace was there, many gave us as favorites but then the season changed direction, and it became difficult emotionally. However, given where we were in 2021, we have made great strides: now we have to make another, decisive one.”
