Torino is always on the lookout for reinforcements in midfield, especially a central midfielder with good vision, capable of making runs into the box, and skilled at distributing the ball. According to Sky, the Granata have set their sights on Daniel Bragança, a Portuguese midfielder from Sporting.

Born in 1999, he scored 6 goals in 24 matches across all competitions last season with the Lisbon club, and his contract expires in 2027. Sporting does not want to lose him on a free transfer and will consider offers from the Piedmontese club. As reported by A Bola, the midfielder is no longer part of the new head coach’s plans and is no longer training with the team. In recent weeks, Olympiacos had shown interest, but the deal fell through. Now Torino is trying to step in: Petrachi wants to add depth to that position, and an official offer could arrive soon.

Daniel Bragança came up through Sporting’s youth system and made his first-team debut in 2020. He played extensively for the Portuguese Under-21 national team, with which he finished as European runner-up in 2021. A serious knee injury in 2022 slowed his development, sidelining him for an entire season, but in the years since, he has returned to regular playing time.

It’s not just the midfield: Torino is active on multiple fronts in the transfer market. On the offensive front, the Granata are considering a trade with Cagliari that would involve Ché Adams, whose contract expires in June, and Sebastiano Esposito, a forward born in 2002 who came up through Inter’s youth system and has fallen out with the Sardinian club. Work is also underway on outgoing transfers: Alì Dembélé, formerly of Venezia, is close to joining Lecce on loan with an option to buy.
