MotoGp, Fabio Quartararo reveals where he lost the World Championship

Fabio Quartararo returned to the 2022 MotoGp season that saw him suffer a 91-point comeback from Pecco Bagnaia, who later became world champion with Ducati.

“In the first four races my attitude was negative, I was thinking about 2020 and not being able to defend the title,” said the Yamaha rider, as reported by Tuttosport.com

“There I won the first race, I thought I had this chance and to play it to the maximum,” Quartararo continued, explaining how Portimao represented a crucial moment for him.

He then stated the turning point in the negative: “On the return to Silverstone it was hard, less so in Austria, but in Misano was the real blow to morale. With a very fast bike and no problems we finished fifth. Really very frustrating.”

“Then there were mistakes in Thailand and Australia. In some moments we did not have the potential to win, but I wanted to push too hard, a lesson to be learned for the future not to repeat these mistakes,” concluded the world champion in 2021.
