F1: Lewis Hamilton Has a Dream: To Honor Michael Schumacher with an Overtake

The 2026 Italian Grand Prix is fast approaching. From September 4 to 6, the legendary Monza circuit will host another Formula 1 race—one of the most anticipated events on the calendar and undoubtedly the most beloved by Ferrari fans. This special edition marks Ferrari’s celebration of the 30th anniversary of Michael Schumacher’s first victory at the “Temple of Speed” (1996 season).

In addition to special liveries and suits honoring the German champion, the sporting side of things features Lewis Hamilton, who is determined to pull off a major feat. The seven-time World Champion has won five times at Monza, most recently in 2018 driving for Mercedes.

That’s exactly the same number of wins as Michael Schumacher (whose last victory came in 2006). Both drivers share the top spot among those with the most wins on the iconic Monza circuit.

Lewis Hamilton dreams of celebrating the legacy of Michael Schumacher by winning the race and thus becoming the most successful driver in the history of the Italian Grand Prix.
