Mattia Felici Wins the “Oscar” for Bad Luck: Another Extremely Long Break

Mattia Felici has suffered another serious injury and has been forced to sit out once again due to a torn cruciate ligament. Tests conducted after the injury he sustained against Lecce revealed a tear in the cruciate ligament of his right knee.

The player will be examined today in Rome by Professor Mariani and will subsequently undergo surgery to reconstruct the ligament. The 25-year-old Cagliari forward is expected to face a long period away from the field, estimated at about six months.

Felici was injured around the 30-minute mark of the second half of the match between Cagliari and Lecce, the team with which he made his Serie B debut. He had entered the game just thirteen minutes earlier, replacing Fazzini.

Unfortunately, this is the second serious knee injury for the Rome native in less than a year. Last December, in the final minutes of the Coppa Italia match against Napoli, Felici suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee.
