2026-2027 Serie A: Napoli vs. Bologna, Probable Lineups

Napoli is looking to bounce back at the Maradona Stadium in their match against Bologna on Matchday 4 of the Serie A season. The Azzurri are coming off three straight losses—the most recent coming this week against Arsenal—and can’t afford to slip up in front of their home fans if they’re going to shake off the specter of a crisis. The visitors, led by Domenico Tedesco, earned their first point last Sunday against Sassuolo after losing their first two matches: the Bologna side, too, finds itself in a precarious situation from which it wants to escape immediately.
Allegri is without Anguissa; in midfield, he’s likely to rely on Gilmour, Lobotka, and De Bruyne, with Vergara ready to come off the bench. Meret is out due to injury, so Milinkovic-Savic will be in goal. Up front, Hojlund will partner with Politano and Lang, who will take the place of the injured Alisson Santos.
Tedesco is without both Orsolini and Dovbyk: Piccoli is the striker, with Bernardeschi, Odgaard, and Cambiaghi behind him. In midfield, Ferguson and either Pobega or Moro.
Napoli vs. Bologna: Probable Lineups
NAPOLI (4-3-3): Milinkovic-Savic; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Rafa Marin, Spinazzola; Gilmour, Lobotka, De Bruyne; Politano, Hojlund, Lang. Coach: Allegri
BOLOGNA (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Holm, Helland, Theate, Miranda; Ferguson, Pobega; Bernardeschi, Odgaard, Cambiaghi; Piccoli. Head Coach: Tedesco
“Talk is cheap—we need to win,” Allegri said at the press conference. “We’re coming off three losses, and at times like this, I think there’s little to say and much to do. We have the chance to take home three points against Bologna, and it won’t be easy because they’re a team that put up a good fight against Sassuolo; they’re well-coached and technically skilled. But this is a very important game for us. And I’d say that’s clear to everyone.”
