Adriano Panatta spoke again on *La Domenica Sportiva* about world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who has been sidelined since the Wimbledon final due to a knee injury. The Italian announced that he will skip all end-of-year tournaments, hoping to be back at 100% for the Australian Open scheduled for January, following a six-month hiatus.

The former Italian tennis player expressed concern during the RAI program and wished Sinner all the best: “We don’t know anything. His knee hurts; he’s obviously taken this break because it will take 3–4 months to recover. I hope he manages to get back in the game.”

Panatta, however, did not blame the schedule for the frequent injuries that occur at the highest levels of tennis. According to the 1976 Roland Garros champion, the problem stems from the intensity of the matches: “It’s not true that players compete too much compared to my era; I played in the same tournaments as Sinner. There are too many injuries because the intensity has changed.”

For his recovery, Sinner has decided to entrust his care to Dr. Herbert Schoenhuber, co-founder of Physioclinic and an internationally renowned orthopedic surgeon. This choice closely mirrors that of Sofia Goggia, who, thanks to the same doctor, managed to return in time for the Beijing Olympics, winning silver in the downhill after a serious injury. The clinic itself posted a photo of the Italian champion with the medical staff, accompanied by an optimistic statement: “We are confident that Jannik, the world’s number one, will also make a full recovery in the coming months and will once again inspire all tennis fans starting next season.”
