Federica Brignone, a heartfelt message: “Home is home”

A return to her roots, marking her connection to her homeland and to the world of skiing that saw her grow up. Federica Brignone returns to the Courmayeur Monte Bianco Ski Club, which welcomed her back with a message full of affection and pride, celebrating the return of one of Italian skiing’s most important athletes.
“Home is home, and a parent always leaves the door open. To us, Federica has always been Fede, the girl who loved to ski freely, even before she took to the slalom course,” reads the post published on social media by the Courmayeur Monte Bianco Ski Club. A message that speaks to the special bond between the champion and the club, which welcomed her back by highlighting the human value of a choice that goes beyond the sporting aspects.
“We believe she has embraced our philosophy and that her decision comes from the heart and gut, leading her naturally back to us. We welcome her with open arms,” the message continues.
The Ski Club then proudly recalled the achievements of Brignone, who has carried the name of Courmayeur and the Aosta Valley to the top of the podium at the World Cup and the Olympic Games. With this return, that bond is renewed and looks toward the future.
A warm welcome that feels like a homecoming, then, for Federica Brignone, who is returning to a sporting community with which she shares her roots and a history built on a passion for the mountains and for skiing.
