Turin-Lecce Match Postponed by a Quarter of an Hour: What Happened?

The Torino-Lecce match began about 15 minutes late due to a decidedly unusual incident. With both teams already on the field and ready for the kickoff—following a minute of silence in memory of de Miguel—referee Feliciani had to postpone the start of the match due to a problem with the goal line beneath the Maratona stand, where Lecce’s goal was located.

The line, in fact, was not perfectly straight, and staff from the Olimpico Grande Torino had to step in to quickly fix it. Orsato was also present in the stands and went directly onto the field to oversee the repairs and finally allow the match to begin as scheduled. Once the problem was resolved, the teams were able to kick off the match, which was part of the 11th matchday of Serie A.

Ignazio Abate opted for a 3-5-2 formation, with Perri in goal and a defensive trio consisting of Coco, Ismajli, and Comuzzo. In midfield, Belghali and Cacciamani started on the wings, with Vlasic, Bragança, and Fitz-Jim in the center. Up front, Kulenovic and Simeone formed the striking duo, with Adams starting on the bench.

Eusebio Di Francesco responded with a 3-5-1-1 formation: Falcone in goal, Dembélé, Gaspar, and Tiago Gabriel in defense, with Veiga and Gallo on the wings. In midfield were Kaba, Ngom, and Maleh, while Fatah played behind lone striker Stulic.
